Sennheiser are certainly keeping the naming thing simple with this product range!

Design and Build
As you know, Sennheiser are a well-known brand with a big reputation, especially in the headphones space. So it will come as little suprise that right out of the box, these IEMs look and feel the way you would hope.
The earbuds are made of polycarbonate and machined stainless steel. These materials reduce the effects of vibration caused by some sound clips. The housing of the earpieces ensures music is heard in great detail.
The earphone is equipped with a three-button in-line control and microphone allowing you to answer and end calls and control the volume of both calls and music as you would expect. The buttons are nicely done with good feedback when using them.
The elliptical cable is 1.3m long and attached to a 3.5m L-style jack. The cable provides hours of tangle-free listening experience.
Affordable doesn’t have to be synonymous with unfashionable, and the distinctive detailing of the product proves this. The earphone has a high gloss finish with a mirror chrome logo detail. The cable and remote are also color-coded to complete the very stylish looks.
There are two versions available; you can either buy the version compatible with Android devices (M2 IEG) or the other for iOS (M2 IEi). You can also opt for the black or red color available for each version. The 3-button inline remote with integrated mic is optimized either for Apple iOS or Android devices – the volume control for Android won’t work on the iOS and vice versa.
There are four different sized adapters to choose from when you purchase these earphones which makes it easier to find an earpiece perfect for you. The adapters are made with a soft foam-type material to provide maximum comfort when you listen to music for hours.
The earpieces are angled which helps with insertion and a secured fit. They fit well into the natural angled formation of your ear canal. This means no more constantly attempting to find the right position.
The in-line microphone gives you total control with just the touch of a button. It’s conveniently located on the cable which makes it easier for you to reach. The microphone is also very good for phone calls and the voices come through well.
The cable noise and interference is impressively low. I tried messing around with it as much as possible during a call and nobody complained about any noise, even when prompted.
Overall a well made and designed pair of earphones
The earphone was engineered with a single dynamic driver. The unit seems to be very well engineered as it produces a very impressive response across the frequency range with little distortion. The noise isolation is also excellent once you have the right set of tips, which contributes to the sound you hear.
The bass is delivered with depth and impact you typically wouldn’t find in an IEM with a single driver. When you pair the bass with the mid-range response you get a thoroughly lively sound with real drive and rhythm.
The single drivers in each earpiece are not phased by sharp, staccato sounds either, being fleet-footed enough to deliver even the steepest of leading edges well.
The higher are ranges are tight and controlled with guitar solos and strings alike singing out from their backing tracks impressively
This isn’t to say they are only for full-on tracks, they also create a great feeling of space with quieter tracks. Live arpeggiated strings can be heard echoing around the chamber as can the breaths and little squeaks on acoustic guitars giving you a real sense of the musician playing the piece.
There are always some drawbacks with a single dynamic driver set-up and I did find that for some “wall of sound” style tracks, the midranges could become slightly swamped, but they dealt with this far better than most – the sound is better than several more expensive headphones I could name!
No matter the music genre or the volume, these buds delivered a well balanced and detailed sound.
When this pair of little IEMs arrived I had high expectations and I am glad to say they delivered!
After using them for a day or so they became my daily driver and hence the reason why I have them as my best earbuds under $100.
Strong and rhythmic sound allied to a great sense of space and imaging mean they sound wonderful. The noise isolation is also top-notch, making sure that your listening enjoyment is not interrupted by the outside world.
I also have no complaints with either the comfort, using them for many hours at a time with no issues, and they show no signs of wear even after being chucked into my pocket and bag with little care
So for me, these are definitely top of the heap in the under $100 IEM market and why they topped our list of the best earphones under $100.
